Pearl Hwang, DO
A native of Chattanooga, Dr. Hwang received her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Ohio University at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton. Holding positions of leadership in her medical program, she actively sought and completed specialized surgical training during her residency in both Single Incision Sling Surgery and Endo-Surgery.
As a Doctor of Osteopathy who is residency trained in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Hwang emphasizes the integrated approach to women’s health care that we practice here at Cherokee Women’s Health. “My DO education has taught me to approach each patient with the concept of the mind, body, and spirit,” she says. “This philosophy tells me to understand my patients’ complete medical and life’s needs – and to work with them to achieve their health goals.”
Outside of work, Dr. Hwang enjoys extensive international travel and what she calls a few outdoor activities – including hiking, scuba diving, and rock climbing.
